Absentee Bidding

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT THE OCTOBER 23rd GALA TO BUY GREAT ART!

TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art auction bidding begins on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 12 noon CST.

Works in the SILENT AUCTION can be identified by the bid sheets hung next to the pieces at The Rachofsky House. To bid on an artwork in the SILENT AUCTION, use the pencil attached to the bid sheet to enter your paddle number and bid amount, noting the required bidding increments.

Works in the LIVE AUCTION are accompanied by labels that describe the pieces, and which indicate they will be auctioned live during the gala by Jamie Niven, Chairman, Sotheby’s North and South America. To bid on an artwork in the LIVE AUCTION, you must be present at the gala or place an absentee bid.

If you are unable to attend TWO X TWO for AIDS and Art on Saturday, October 23, and would like to place a bid on a live or silent auction piece, you may place an absentee bid online or on the phone with an auction representative, or you may register with an auction volunteer at one of the preview events for a paddle number.

Successful bidders, including absentee bidders, will be notified by telephone on Sunday, October 24. Please see CONDITIONS OF SALE for more information about winning bids. All works must be removed from The Rachofsky House by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 26, or they will be sent to storage at the winning bidder’s expense.
